As Republican legislators around the country employ strategies to make it more difficult for African-Americans, Hispanics, the elderly and a host of other Americans to vote, efforts are underway to counter these cynical strategies by launching a number of robust voter registration campaigns. Colette Forrest and Brandi Williams of the non-partisan, Hip Hop Caucus and Respect My Vote , talked with ‘Community Voices’ host, Ron Holland, about their campaign to educate former felons about their right to vote. They’re  also working aggressively to register as many Charlotte residents as they can for the upcoming 2012 Presidential election.
