Prosecutors in the Trayvon Martin murder case say Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman, did not utter a racial slur when speaking to a 911 police dispatcher on the night of the killing.

When Sanford Police released the 911 recordings several weeks ago, speculation emerged that Zimmerman mumbled “these f—Coons” after describing Martin to police.  Closer audio analysis of that portion of the 911 recording suggests that Zimmerman may have said “these f—Punks.”

The audio analysis of the 911 recording was filed in an affidavit by Special Prosecutor, Angela Cory. The affidavit helps to support the 2nd Degree murder charges Cory filed against Zimmerman.  Although the audio analysis appears to refute the allegation that Zimmerman uttered a racial slur, the affidavit appears to contain language that support charges that Zimmerman may have profiled the unarmed Martin.
