Jaylan Robinson had a dream come true when he performed in front of Donald Lawrence at Concord Mills Mall last year. Then another dream came true. Jaylan Robinson and Teen Pure N Heart won Youth Choir at the 2012 Stellar Award for Children’s Project of the Year.
The Carolinas-based choir is made up of teens throughout the region. Robinson was not only a member of the award-winning choir, he accepted the award onstage during the ceremony in Nashville in January. In fact, he was the first to hold the award during the ceremony on stage.
“My legs were shaking,” said Jaylan, 14.
Jaylan said winning the award with the choir along with meeting so many gospel idols has only strengthened his desire to be a professional gospel singer.
