In conjunction, wholesalers Freshway Foods recalled their romaine lettuce with a “use by” date of May 17, and Vaughan Foods, with a use by date of May 9 and 10. The lettuce was not available for consumer retail purchase.
Symptoms of E.coli include bloody diarrhea and stomach cramps 2-8 days after consumption. Most recover in a week but there is the possibility of a more severe infection. Consult your doctor if you think you’re suffering from the effects of nasty lettuce.
