A joint effort to combat domestic violence during the holiday season was the focus of Community Voices with Ron Holland.
Khadija Wali Uhud, founder of Mother Khadija’s Domestic Violence for Youth Foundation and CEO of ‘JazzUndagrounds, LLC,’ along with Beverly Foster of Mecklenburg County’s Domestic Violence Advisory Board were accompanied by Author and Motivational Speaker, Gurmay Fraser-Darlington to talk about this very important issue.
The guests all agreed that domestic violence is especially pronounced during the holiday season. They say that abused women often find it difficult to navigate the holidays without having to fend off attacks. During the show, all three guests provided a bevy of resources for women seeking help.
