First Lady Michelle Obama appears to have edged Jenny Sanford in popularity among South Carolinians, according to a new Winthrop University Poll.
Both women came out far ahead of the state’s two U.S. senators – and even further ahead of Congress.
The poll, released today, showed 58 percent of South Carolinians have a favorable view of Michelle Obama, and nearly 55 percent have a positive view of former First Lady Jenny Sanford.
