According to the Foundation for Suicide Prevention, over 120 people per day died by suicide last year. Other statistics suggests every 40 seconds, a person somewhere in the Untied States will kill themselves.  Mental illness is a major factor in death by suicide.  Whether it’s an official diagnosis of depression, schizophrenia or the enormous feeling of hopelessness, there’s a crisis that requires our immediate collective attention.  ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host Ron Holland, delved into this sobering issue with Fonda Bryant, Social Coordinator for NAMI-Charlotte, a branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
