The political and social impact of Aretha Franklin and Sen. John McCain is enormous.  It’s hard to imagine music in the 20th and 21st Centuries without the Queen of Soul.  The Maverick’s stamp on politics assures him an honored place in our nation’s history books. As far as culture, entertainment and the fight for human dignity, Aretha Franklin will be fondly remembered as a leading voice in both the Civil Rights Movement and absolute respect for all women. In politics, Sen. John McCain will be synonymous with Bi-Partisanship. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland reflects on the legacies of these two giants of political and social change.
