The Gospel Music Association announced the nominees for the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The awards show will be held on Oct. 16 in Nashville, Tennessee. In the Gospel music categories, nominations went to Cece Winans, Kirk Franklin, Jekalyn Carr, Tasha Cobbs and Travis Greene for the Gospel Artist of the Year award. Anthony Brown, Brian Courtney Wilson, Jonathan McReynolds, Koryn Hawthorn and Snoop Dogg received nominations for the Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year.
