Stephanie Wilkinson, owner of the Red Hen restaurant in Virginia asked White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders to leave her restaurant this weekend. Wilkinson said her chef and staff were uncomfortable with Sanders being there and she agreed it was against the restaurants standard of “honesty and compassion and cooperation.” Wilkinson said to the Washington Post that she feels like this is “the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.” She said she asked Sanders to have a word with her on the patio and politely explained her view and asked her to leave. Sanders agreed, and later tweeted.
