Harvey Weinstein surrendered himself to New York police this morning, and has been arrested on rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct charges for encounters with two women. The disgraced movie producer Weinstein said nothing as he walked into NYPD’s First Precinct just before 7:30 a.m., He emerged from the building in handcuffs to be taken to court just before 9 a.m. Bail was set at $10 million, or $1 million in cash, which Weinstein is expected to post this afternoon. He will be required to surrender his passport and wear a GPS monitoring system.
