Lawyers for President Donald Trump are anticipating a request from special counsel Robert Mueller for interview. The president’s legal team is in discussion on how to limit parameters of the interview and certainly to preclude any surprises. Trump’s lawyers are hoping for the investigation to wrap up quickly. It is unusual for a sitting president to speak directly to an independent prosecutor leading an investigation, though previous presidents have sat down for a deposition in a civil suit.
