Via his Facebook page this morning, Fred Hammond prays for his son – and all of our children – as they return back to school today:
5:30am 8/25/2014. This is the prayer that I just prayed for my son Darius and texted to him.
Now I’m dedicating it to all of you who have kids returning to school on every level.
Father God in the precious name of Jesus I come to you on behalf of our kids. They’re our pride and joy and We ask You on their behalf that You would please safely guide them through this school year. Keep them safe from all hurt harm and danger, let your angels encamp around about them both day and night. Touch their mind and help them focus on their academics that they would get excellent grades this year. Touch them in all extra curricular activities that they would excel and be ahead and above any of their limitations. And let him/her always give you the glory. Let them be a light to those around them that they may want to know you better Lord. Bless his mother and father even if in separate house holds to be able to be their guidance . And we ask you Lord bless his/her teachers to see the brightness inside of them and bless them to be able to respond to those teachers, coaches, counselors and all who have a hand in his/her educational upbringing in a positive way.
Lord if they stumble at any time let them look toward you for strength and that they should always know they can do all things through You Lord that gives them strength.
