Hundreds of people filled Marshall Park on Thursday to remember victims of police brutality. Thursday’s protest was part of a national protest in the wake of the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Brown was gunned down by officer Darren Wilson. In a press conference on Thursday, Ferguson police released the identity of Wilson. Police also accused Brown of being involved in a robbery prior to the shooting, which occurred on Saturday.

On Thursday, protestors in Marshall Park remembered Brown as well as other victims, such as Jonathan Ferrell. The former Florida A&M football player was gunned down by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police in September.
