A Warner Robins pastor is on a crusade against something sacred to many in his middle Georgia town: high school football.
To be exact he’s crusading against the devil, and in this case the devil is the Warner Robins High’s mascot. The pastor of Kingdom Builders Church of Jesus Christ has an issue with the team name Warner Robins High School Demons as well as the green-eyed, pitchfork-carrying demon mascot. The pastor Donald Crosby is following a road travelled by previous pastors with little success. He’s collecting signatures for a petition and complaining to the news media.
People in the town shrug it off. The Demons have one four state championships, and a change is highly unlikely.
