What have you done today to move your dream forward?  If your answer is in the affirmative and you have done at least one thing today to move your dream forward, congratulations!  If your answer is no, what are you waiting for?

I remember hearing Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church and the author of the “Purpose Driven Life” say, “We are healed to help others. We are blessed to be a blessing. We are saved to serve, not to sit around and wait for heaven.”

Wow!

It’s the truth, sitting around getting caught up in things that don’t move the needle in a forward direction toward your purpose doesn’t benefit you or the people that will benefit by your commitment to fulfilling your purpose in life.

Some are unclear about what their purpose is, the answer is fairly simple.  Your purpose is that reoccurring thought that you can’t get away from.  No matter what happens in your life, you continue to return to the same desire.

Perhaps you want to organize a food pantry to help to feed those that could benefit, or you want to open a car repair shop, or you want to tutor children that are in your neighborhood, it really doesn’t matter.  One thing is for sure; your purpose is for you and for you only.  It is the thing you were born to do.

Habakkuk 2:3 helps us out in the times that we are confused or even frustrated, “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end, it will not lie.  If it seems slow, wait for it, it will surely come; it will not delay.

Even during the times when things are unclear, draw on your passion to make something happen.  One day at a time with a commitment to do at least one thing to move you closer to your purpose will serve you well.  Sitting in place, will stagnate you.  Get busy!
