The holidays are an especially emotional time for struggling families. With Thanksgiving only days away and Christmas just around the corner, a bevy of assistance agencies have already begun to reach out to families in need. The Charlotte Rescue Mission for example provides critical services to men and women mired in drug addiction and alcohol. The Mission’s Dove’s Nest Division also provides critical resources for women and children in need. But the CRM also help families get through the emotional turmoil the holiday season can bring. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland, talked with Shante Anderson, Facility Case Manager of the Dove’s Nest division of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Ms. Anderson provided details about her agency’s efforts to help families during the holidays.
