New CMS Superintendent Soothes The Soul, But Offers Few Details About Plans

New CMS Superintendent Heath Morrison cracked joked, flashed a winning smile and was quick witted during a talk to the Charlotte Chamber in Ballantyne last week. In fact, it sounded more like he was running for office rather than running a school system. In a presentation complete with Power Point slides and lots and lots of inspirational sayings, Morrison laid out his vision for a kinder, gentler CMS. Morrison offered few details about how he would improve CMS schools. He did offer lots morsels like going going from good to great and the importance of employees feeling valued. For the moment, he’s on a listening tour to hear what the people have to say about the schools.
